Elderly man saved at the last minute by the 118 health workers of Avis Porto Torres . Their timely intervention saved an 84-year-old man who was going into cardiac arrest .

To speed up the rescue time, the same operators, after the first maneuvers, carried out inside the house in the Monte Agellu area, alarmed the 118 Areus helicopter rescue service , which left from the Alghero base and landed in the car parks adjacent to the McDonald's. Here the patient, with weak heartbeats, was loaded aboard the vehicle which immediately took off to reach the civil hospital of Santissima Annunziata where all the necessary procedures were activated, then defibrillated and intubated.

Thanks went to the Avis Porto Torres rescuers who once again underline the importance of timely intervention to contribute to the positive outcome of patients in cardiac arrest, contributing to the chain of survival.
