Porto Torres, canteen employee hit by meal van

Hit by a pickup truck in front of the Borgona elementary school square. The accident happened around 1pm in via Sebastiano Satta, in Porto Torres , when the van, which was carrying meals to serve the school canteens, was preparing to enter the access area to the premises, at the back of the school, where the children of primary they eat lunch.

All it took was a moment of distraction, an oversight, and a 50-year-old woman, an employee of the canteen management company, was hit by the vehicle. The impact was violent and the operator was immediately helped by the medical workers of the Sardo Rescue ambulance, who intervened on site together with a 118 medical worker.

After providing initial treatment, the doctors arranged for the woman to be transferred to the Santissima Annunziata civil hospital in Sassari.

The condition of the patient, who felt severe pain in her side, is not serious.
