Porto Torres, arson emergency: another car on fire

In Porto Torres the emergency of arson attacks against cars does not abate.

Last night another car, owned by a worker, was reduced to ashes. The firefighters of the local detachment intervened around 1.45 am in via Ponte Romano, in the car parks adjacent to the "Nino Pala" maritime station to put out the flames that destroyed a Peugeot 308, which had been parked for a few days in front of the headquarters of the Asinara National Park Authority. All that remained of the car was a pile of sheet metal.

It is presumably an arson attack, considering that a plastic container filled with flammable liquid was found nearby.

The alarm was raised by residents, tired of seeing constant noise in the area during the night. «A coming and going of kids who smoke, deal and destroy public and private goods, an unsustainable situation that escapes because there are no controls. There is a serious reflection to be made on safety." Yet another arson act which the police are investigating. In the area, targeted by vandals, there are not even cameras.
