Archaeological constraint in the Marinella area, in front of the industrial port of Porto Torres, where due to an alleged improper disposal a complaint was made to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Sassari by the Turritana Port Authority.

In the adjacent area, an archaeological site with monumental works from the Roman era, including the Roman Bridge. The nature of the large quantity of buried waste is being investigated, material accumulated over the years by passing uncivilized people, but currently disposed of in an irregular manner. The archaeological constraint represents a further element that adds to the alleged environmental pollution in the valuable area .

In the space affected by the investigations, some earthmoving operations are being carried out, as well as the collection of quarry rocks for the construction of the Genoa breakwater, a matter into which the Ligurian Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation for corruption .

The waste found in the area, east of La Marinella, would not have been disposed of according to the provisions of the law but, on the contrary, unknown persons would have leveled the area, of almost two hectares, spreading and burying the large quantity of rubbish with consequent risk of water and soil environmental matrices.
