The funeral of Antonella Serusi, the 50-year-old woman who was hit by an SUV in Ploaghe last Friday, June 12, was held yesterday afternoon in the Church of San Pietro Apostolo. The woman, who had just left the pharmacy on Corso Giovanni Spano, had died after being struck by the car driven by an 85-year-old man.

The incident also injured an 81-year-old man, the victim's uncle. Meanwhile, in recent days, the Local Health Authority's coroner, Jessica Sanna, examined the body on behalf of Maria Paola Asara, the prosecutor in charge of the investigation.

The woman's husband and two daughters joined the civil action with lawyer Ennio Masu.
