Identified a poacher who placed illegal traps around Cagliari, to capture thrushes and other birds.

The discovery was made by the Cabs, the anti-poaching volunteers . Then the intervention of the police for the appropriate measures.

«The traps – explains the association on Facebook – consisted of small snares that are placed on the branches of the trees or on the ground and triggered with juniper and strawberry tree berries . In an active site discovered by our activists, the local authorities caught the poacher red-handed: the man had set over 300 traps and had just captured 2 song thrushes».

"For a thrush recently ended up in a noose - continues the association - we arrived in time: we managed to save it and free it".

During the search of the poacher's home , 48 other dead song thrushes and a blackbird were found in the freezer, probably destined for sale on the black market .
