Heavy consequences following the episode that took place last February 6 at the Pirri sports field during the match between Jupiter and PGS Club San Paolo, second category championship. As the first half was about to end, the referee was attacked by a player from the visiting team who was upset by the expulsion order. The footballer lashed out at the 22-year-old referee hitting him in the face with a head and causing him a head injury with a prognosis of 25 days.
On the case, the Investigative Section and the Digos Supporters Team began the relevant investigations, then denouncing the player, a 32-year-old from Cagliari, for "violence or threats against those in charge of the controls of the places where sporting events take place". In addition, the Anti-Crime Division he followed the investigations to ascertain his social dangerousness and the possible adoption of the Daspo provision against him.
It therefore emerged not only the seriousness of his conduct but also the fact that he was the recipient of three Daspo, two Oral Warnings, and that he was pluri-prejudiced for similar crimes and for continuous drug dealing.
The police commissioner of Cagliari, considering it dangerous for public safety, has applied the ban, for a period of 8 years, to access the stadiums and all the sports facilities of the national territory in which football sports events are played, as well as abroad, on the occasion of matches of the Italian national team or Italian teams.
Furthermore, belonging to the most violent fringe of the ultras group of the "shockers", for the same duration the commissioner has applied the ban, when Cagliari Calcio home matches are held, in the 24 hours preceding and in the 24 hours following the performance of the matches, to access a series of roads and places interested in the stop, transit or transport of those who attend or participate in sporting events.
In recent days, the Italian Football Federation - National Amateur League has made official the disqualification for the player who must remain away from the fields until 10 February 2027.
