Pirri, arson attack on petrol station: near massacre

The immediate intervention of a fire brigade team contained the damage of an arson attack during the night in a service station in Pirri .
Shortly after half past midnight some passing motorists noticed the flames set in the bar attached to the Q8 company fuel station in via Riva Villasanta . The firefighters arrived within a few minutes and managed to put out the fire when it was still in its initial phase, thus containing the damage.
The intervention was carried out in the utmost emergency, to prevent the flames from spreading to the fuel pumps and thus creating danger to the homes surrounding the service station. Fortunately the fire was extinguished in the bud.
According to the fire brigade, the fire at the gas station was arson . The police forces, who intervened during the night together with the firefighters, opened investigations into the attack.
