Serious accident this morning in via Peretti, not far from the entrance to Su Planu, in the Selargius area: a car, driven by a woman, hit a pedestrian who was crossing the road.

The conditions of the victim, according to initial information, are serious: he hit his head and was transported to hospital by an 118 crew. The vehicle, however, sustained extensive damage. The local police of Selargius intervened for the investigations, while colleagues from Cagliari are helping with traffic management. Recently the Municipality of Selargius designed new signs, with high visibility paint, but apparently the intervention did not prove sufficient to help a motorist who was perhaps too distracted while driving.

This is the third investment in the same street in the space of a few months. On January 8, but in the Cagliari area, in front of McDonald's, a 16-year-old student who was on his way to school lost his life.

A few days ago it unfortunately happened to a forty-two year old, who had been hospitalized in intensive care at Brotzu: her conditions have improved.

In this last point, work is underway for the construction of a raised pedestrian crossing.
