The Municipality does not forget that years ago someone did not behave appropriately at the event. This is why this year too the mayor decided to take action by signing an ordinance.

In Santa Giusta there is a countdown to celebrate the patron saint, next May 13th and 14th. On Saturday, however, the traditional parade of floats will be held along various streets of the town to transport the wood that will be lit for the traditional bonfire on May 13th.

However, the companies that will participate, nine in total, will have to respect various rules, as provided for by a municipal ordinance that regulates the parade of floats.

The prohibitions reported in the document are many: no to swimming in the fountain in the square of the Romanesque Basilica as happened years ago and it is forbidden to spray water for fun. It will not be allowed to sing obscene songs that may offend the religious spirit of the participants, and to display banners on the sides of the floats and use inappropriate accessories.

Unjustified stops which can slow down the parade and cause traffic disruption are also prohibited. Another rule: it is forbidden to drop wood on the streets. The Municipality does not forget the animals: it is absolutely forbidden for them to be put under strain.

«All this», we read in the ordinance signed by the mayor of Santa Giusta Andrea Casu, «to guarantee the smooth running of the parade and respect for tradition».
