Panic in the district of San Gavino in Porto Torres.

A man, under the influence of alcohol, after stealing a car from an elderly man, crashed into one of the poles that delimit the staircase to access the church of San Gavino, in Piazza Marconi, in front of the pizzeria of the same name. Then with a reverse maneuver he collided with a parked Fiat Picasso.

When he got out of his car with obvious head injuries, he went into a rage, sowing panic and threatening to shoot people present. So he went up to his apartment just a few steps from the square, armed himself with a dog poking gun and fired three shots aiming the weapon at the owner of the Picasso.

Fear and terror among those present, a group of about thirty people ran away at the sight of the gun, a general ran away. Some of them alerted 113 and a police patrol went to the scene. The man was stopped and taken to the Sassari emergency room. The carabinieri investigate the episode.
