In recent days, some extraordinary maintenance and safety works have begun along Provincial Road 53, in the section that connects Palmas Arborea and Santa Giusta. The interventions will be borne by the municipal administration of Palmas Arborea, for the stretch that falls within the territory of the country, which has decided to allocate a total of around 30 thousand euros from the municipal budget.

Specifically, after the prior authorization obtained from the Province, the Palmarese Municipality will intervene, with 10 thousand euros, for the maintenance and safety of the section between the roundabout which is located in front of the village cemetery up to the border with Santa Giusta. «It is very important - comments the mayor Emanuele Cadoni - for the municipal administration to guarantee safety in that stretch of road which, especially in case of rain, was not guaranteed. This was a priority intervention."

With an additional 20 thousand euros, on the other hand, some raised pedestrian crossings will be created, which will also act as speed limiters, in the section between the two roundabouts of the ring road next to the town. «As soon as the weather conditions allow it - concludes Cadoni - the raised pedestrian crossings will be built in the same provincial road, the Palmas Arborea ring road, also built with funds from the municipal administration and already authorized by the province of Oristano. An intervention that is very important for our Administration to ensure safety on the ring road; moreover, the crossings will make it possible to limit the movement of cars in that stretch of road which is often traveled at very high speed».
