After eight years, Luna returns home to her owner, who is now 71 years old.
We are talking about a donkey, stolen from a man in 2015, during a raid on a sheepfold in Pabillonis.
All traces of the animal had been lost and the owner in all this time had lost hope of getting it back.
Instead, never say never. In fact, Luna was found by the carabinieri during a check on a farm in Fluminimaggiore.
The military intervened for an inspection together with the Ats veterinarians and, during the inspection, thanks to the subcutaneous microchip, it emerged that the donkey that was wandering around the plot of land was precisely the one stolen in 2015.
The animal was then taken over and brought back to Pabillonis, to the delight of the elderly and rightful owner.
The twenty-seven-year-old owner of the farm, on the other hand, the men of the Arma have reserved a complaint for receiving stolen goods.
