The day of searching for possible missing persons from the accident that occurred yesterday afternoon half a mile off the coast of Cala Zafferano, in Teulada, ended without results: according to the testimonies of some survivors, a small boat of migrants capsized and some of the occupants were unable to reach the shore.

The North Africans who were trying to reach Sardinia were rescued by an Army patrol boat, on duty in the waters of the Polygon. After the story of some of them , massive search operations were launched to find those who ended up in the sea and then disappeared. It is not even clear how many are missing: eight at first, then four. At least eleven migrants were certainly brought to safety.

Yesterday and today the stretch of sea was patrolled by naval and air vessels. But the operations were unsuccessful: no trace of any missing persons.

In the evening, news spread of the discovery of a wet backpack, but there is no confirmation.
