Over 150 children registered for the casting of the Zecchino d'oro, held yesterday in Sassari in the only Sardinian stage, and for the first time in the Turritan capital, for the selection of the voices for the most famous singing competition for children in Italy which has reached its 66th edition.

The Sant'Agostino Padre Marco Fabbri choir, affiliated with the Antoniano di Bologna galaxy since 2001, organized the opportunity in the Cappuccini theater together with Wobinda productions and Lapo Panelli who took care of the auditions for the little ones.

«We have a strong bond with this land», explains Panelli, «and in every edition there is always a Sardinian voice» . How can the success of the Zecchino d'oro be explained? «With the values that are in the songs and that children recognize together with their parents. Messages of peace, affection, friendship, which Antoniano has always promoted».

The conditions for participating were being between the ages of 3 and 10 and, as reported by Luisa Abis of the Coro di Sant'Agostino, «the love of music. And it's the kids who push their parents to come and try. They know exactly what they want."

Their enthusiasm is great, especially during the singing of songs. "The most popular songs are - says Marina Mura, co-organizer - Moscerino, I wanted a black cat and the latest winner of the Zecchino, Panda with wings" . At the "Tagliatelle di Nonna Pina" the chorus is of both children and adults in a sort of playful collective ritual that unites all those present regardless of age.

The next edition of the Zecchino d'oro, according to what transpires, should be held in December and who knows a voice that performed yesterday won't triumph.
