Ossi, Giave and Tergu: the 2023 Carnival program

The Department of Culture of the municipality of Ossi has formalized the Carnival 2023 program, organized together with the Pro loco.

Saturday 11 February at 18, in Largo Armando Diaz, there will be "A Carrasegare a ballare ballu sardu" with the folk group Città di Ossi.

Thursday 16 February at 4 pm, at the Blu Star disco, masked ball for children organized by the Polisportiva Ossese, a local team that plays in the championship of Excellence. Saturday 18 February, from 2 pm, space for the Carnival parade organized by the Pro loco of Ossi. Tuesday 21 February at 19.30, we return to Largo Armando Diaz for the roast of the company.

It will also be Carnival in Giave, the center of Meilogu, thanks to the Pro loco of Giave and the collaboration of the municipal administration chaired by Gian Mario Chessa. Saturday 18 February at 4 pm the meeting of the allegorical floats is scheduled in the town square from where the parade will start and will cross the streets. At 8 pm, a culinary space in the social center with the fritellata offered by the Pro loco. Dinner and dances will follow with the committee of Saints Cosma, Damiano and Pantaleo 2023.

Saturday 25 February, again thanks to the committee of Saints Cosma, Damiano and Pantaleo 2023, from 5pm in the town square, the piñata for children and team masked games will take place in Corso Repubblica. This will be followed by the favata, masked balls and piñata for adults in the social centre.

"The Tergulano Carnival" of Tergu, organized by the Pro loco tergulana will, however, take place on Saturday 18 February: it will begin at 16 with the masked party for children with entertainment, face painting and baby dance. At 9 pm masked ball with Dj Set and the awarding of the three most voted masks at the elementary schools. Pancakes will be offered.
