Osilo, stabbed father in his sleep: plea bargain 4 years

The thirty-year-old woman who stabbed her father while he was sleeping in Osilo on March 24 pleaded guilty to a four-year prison sentence this morning in court in Sassari.

The prosecutor Giovanni Porcheddu, who had requested 9 years in the first instance, and the woman's lawyer Gian Mario Fois, agreed on the sentence in today's hearing before the preliminary hearing judge Gian Paolo Piana. The father of the 30-year-old, assisted by the lawyer Mario Pittalis, decided not to join the civil action against his daughter who, among other things, had been subjected to a psychiatric evaluation that had found a partial incapacity to understand and to want.

The attempted murder occurred last March when the woman attacked her father with a knife while he was sleeping. Luckily, the wounds were minor, also because the man had woken up in the meantime. The woman is being held in Bancali.
