They killed a young wild boar with a billhook, were identified by the Oristano Forestry Investigation Unit and reported .
The Forestry men, during specific activities aimed at combating poaching, confirmed the brutal killing of the animal. After a month of investigations, the agents of the Environmental and Forestry Police Investigation Unit (NIPAF) of Oristano, assisted by the personnel of the Forestry Station of Cuglieri, after a house search in the seaside village of Torre Grande found elements useful for the investigation that confirmed their suspicions.
The suspects will have to answer for the crime of killing animals and risk a sentence ranging from four months to two years of imprisonment.
"The proliferation of wild boars in the territory - the Forestry Corps recalls - does not justify in any way culling of this kind. For this reason, the Forestry Corps has intensified services aimed at preventing and repressing the illegal capture of wild boars in all territorial jurisdictions of the Region".
