The Abbanoa tanker arrived in Piazza Corrias in Oristano yesterday, a replacement service necessary to guarantee the water supply after a problem with the tank in Viale Repubblica made the water in the historic centre, in Viale Brianza and in Piazza Roma undrinkable. .

From the service management company they explain that «last week's rainfall, following a prolonged period of drought, led to an increase in the turbidity of the water supplied by the Santu Miali and Bau Nou springs which feed the Sa Rodia reservoir ( serving a part of the city of Oristano). As a precaution and until the end of the phenomenon, the distributed water resource is not drinkable. The same phenomenon concerns the municipality of Siamaggiore, fed by the same springs."

Today the replacement service was guaranteed from 2pm to 6pm , while tomorrow the tanker (which will stop in Piazza Corrias until the parameters return to normal) will be available to citizens from 9am to 1pm. The Abbanoa technicians are proceeding with network clearing operations to increase water exchange and with constant monitoring of turbidity parameters.

Situation under control in all other areas of the city: the sampling points of the wells in via Adua, via Solferino, via Marconi, via San Martino, via Milis and via Temo have excluded anomalous situations.
