Cagliari, man nearly falls from Bastione: young man saved by two heroic finance officers off duty

They were walking, off duty, in the Via del Cammino Nuovo area of Cagliari, when they saw a young man in danger of falling from the Santa Chiara elevator area. He would have fallen into a crowded area (it was almost midnight), with potentially serious consequences for others. Two Guardia di Finanza officers didn't hesitate: they managed to catch the young man before he could fall.
A gesture of great courage and promptness that averted a tragedy in a crowded area known for its nightlife. It was a very tense moment, and many people watched the scene, only realizing later what was about to happen. Green Beret patrols and police officers then arrived on the scene, along with emergency personnel to check on the boy and the two finance officers.
