Oristano, films and an exhibition on cinema

For years, always with great passion and competence, it has tried to promote cinema. The film cultural association Band Apart closes another season with a new event that in addition to the screening of a film also includes the exhibition of paintings inspired by the world of cinema, made by Peppe Orro, one of the members of the Circle.

On Tuesday 24th at 8.30pm at the venue in via Canalis, the programme includes “La spiaggia”, a 1954 comedy by Alberto Lattuada, with Martine Carol, Raf Vallone, Mario Carotenuto, Carlo Romano, Valeria Moriconi.

"A seaside comedy of manners (and in costume), which represents an entire small world made up of types and rites, fashions and lifestyles, bordering on moral tale and Voltairean satire on the hypocrisies and (dis)values of an Italy on the threshold of the economic boom - the association says - A film that scandalized the public at the time and that today remains an extraordinary fresco of those years".
