In particular , 708 patrols checked 1,887 vehicles and identified 2,476 people , issuing 37 contraventions to the highway code, of which 8 for driving under the influence of alcohol and 8 withdrawn licenses; the controls made it possible to almost completely eliminate serious road accidents and crimes against property.
