More than one driver in seven tested positive for alcohol or driving under the influence of drugs. This is the summary of the activity of the Traffic Police Section of Sassari and of the dependent detachments of Olbia and Tempio Pausania. The officers also focus on verifying compliance with speed limits and other rules of the highway code.
According to the numbers of the last weekend, in the name of preventing " Saturday evening massacres ", there are 70 vehicles checked by 6 patrols in service in the area, in Sassarere. Of these, 12 tested positive for alcohol, with rates even 4 times higher than the expected limits.

Sanctions for drivers aged between 20 and 40, except for one case in particular: a 90-year-old who, drunk while driving his car, was involved in an accident , suffering only minor injuries. Speeding is also among the "hot" topics. In fact, in recent weeks checks have been intensified on extra-urban roads, on the state roads 291 Sassari/Alghero, 729 Sassari/Olbia and on Carlo Felice. The data highlights worrying behavior and speed beyond the limits permitted by law.

Particular is the case of a motorist immortalized by the Telelaser Trucam in the 131 dcn, a few kilometers from Olbia, who - drunk - was speeding at 200 km/h . In total , 27 licenses were withdrawn .
