Operation quiet roads, checks of the Polstrada in the Cagliari area
80 vehicles and 105 people checked, seven driving licenses withdrawn with 124 points deducted
Checks by the traffic police in the Cagliari area on the occasion of the last weekend.
Particular attention was paid to driving while intoxicated, with checkpoints in the capital with the support of the camper used by doctors and health workers of the State Police, also with the use of the Drug Wipe 5s screening tests.
80 vehicles and 105 people were checked . Seven driving licenses were withdrawn with 124 points deducted .
Four motorists were caught in a state of intoxication , three of them were charged with suspension of their license and reduction of points , in one case an administrative fine and reduction of points was applied.
Five fines for speeding with withdrawal of driving licence; 5 for lack of vehicle insurance; 3 for driving a vehicle without the required inspection; 1 for driving a vehicle subject to impounding.
The objective of these checks is always aimed at increasing the levels of safety in road traffic , in order to arrive as soon as possible at "0 victims on the road".
