Another day of super-work for the fire-fighting teams of Sardinia.

In a few hours, ten fires broke out in as many locations on the Island. In four of the Municipalities, the intervention of air vehicles was also necessary due to the particularly extensive and challenging fire front.

According to the “bulletin” issued by the Forestry Corps, which coordinated the fire-fighting operations, two helicopters entered into action in the countryside of Maracalagonis, in the Riu Loi area, while in Iglesias, in the area of Sa Punta 'e Candiazzus, the SuperPuma intervened, as well as a Canadair from Olbia. The same Canadair was then sent to another fire less than 1 km further south, in the area of Bangioi.

Three helicopters finally intervened to put out a fire that broke out in the municipality of Sant'Andrea Frius, in the Riu Gutturu Mannu area.
