On the footsteps of Mesina: the carabinieri sift through houses and sheepfolds in the Nuorese area

New, vast operation of the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Nuoro, in collaboration with the personnel of the Helicopter Hunters Squadron of Sardinia and with the Squadron Department of Nuoro, in search of Graziano Mesina.

To look for traces of the fugitive, untraceable from 2 July 2020 , after the new conviction for criminal association aimed at international drug trafficking, the military carried out a series of patrols and checks in the Barbagia campaigns.

During the operation - explains the Arma - numerous sheepfolds and houses were sieved.

Mesina's research has been going on for 15 months without interruption, also with the help of special units, dog lovers, helicopters and the soldiers of the Hunters squadron and the squadron department usually employed in actions and services in the rural area.
