Three kilos of pure cocaine hidden in the car, but he ran into a checkpoint set up by the Sanluri traffic police and his plan went up in smoke. A 39-year-old worker from Nuoro ended up in handcuffs.

The man was driving an Audi A3 and at high speed was traveling the 131 towards Cagliari when the patrol paddle parked in front of him. To the agents he immediately appeared nervous, so much so that he didn't even put the handbrake on. He could not justify that he was in possession of a car belonging to another person, so the police decided to search the vehicle. In the glove compartment there was a strange remote control and at that point the intervention of the mobile squad was requested from Cagliari. During the inspection of the trunk, the upholstery was removed and a secret compartment with an electric piston opening, controlled by the remote control, came out.

The recovered cocaine, very pure and with the “Cr7” brand, like the well-known footballer, was divided into doses and, if placed on the market, would have yielded about 900 thousand euros. It was probably destined for the main town square.

The 39-year-old was taken to prison in Uta.
