Omicron cases in Sardinia rise to 53 while suspect cases remain 8.
The result came from the latest analyzes with the "real time" PCR system from the laboratory of the complex structure of Microbiology and Virology of the Aou of Sassari directed by Professor Salvatore Rubino.
For now, the test records confirm compatibility with Omicron excluding that it is other variants such as Delta, but the test will come only with the sequencing of individual samples.
From what emerges, however, these are contacts of subjects infected with the Omicron variant in the north of the island.
In the meantime, bookings for the "booster" dose of vaccine in the over 16 population are starting today in Sardinia.
