The launching operations of the new Oloè bridge have been successfully concluded .

The previous structure, along the provincial road 46 Oliena-Dorgali , collapsed in the flood of November 2013 causing the death of the policeman Luca Tanzi .

This morning the work that constitutes the new deck, composed of two beams forty-two meters long each, was lifted from the riverbed by a 400-ton crane and placed on the "shoulders" of the bridge, along the crossing over the Cedrino.

The reopening is scheduled between the end of November and mid-December .

«The works are in line with the timetable - explains the regional councilor for public works, Pierluigi Saiu, who witnessed the launching phases - Now we continue with the construction of the paving , which will be followed by the bitumen operations, the positioning of the barriers and signs, then the testing".

The executive project was presented last January in the Province by the Region - which financed the work with over 5 million euros - and Ois (Works and Infrastructures of Sardinia), the body implementing the intervention. The construction site will begin shortly thereafter.

In May, following the flooding of the Cedrino, after exceptional rainfall, the work of the teams made it possible to make the construction site area safe.

«Today - comments the councilor - with the positioning of the new infrastructure we are now close to a long-awaited goal for the territory of Oliena and beyond ». «The works carried out - he clarifies - will allow a better flow of the river waters, thanks to the doubling of the passage previously obstructed by the old road embankment».
