Olbia's emotional farewell to Gioele Putzu: a packed church and white balloons to the tune of "A modo tuo"
In the front row were friends from school and judo, and Father Amedeo Salis celebrated the massA sea of people to say their last farewell to Gioele Putzu, the 9-year-old boy who died in Ozieri when a soccer goal collapsed while he was playing with friends.
The funeral was held in the church of Sant'Ignazio da Laconi, in Olbia , where little Gioele lived with his family. The church could not contain the human tide that arrived to say goodbye to that child who left us too soon.
In the front rows, the classmates from the fifth grade of San Simplicio and the classmates from Kan judo Olbia , dressed in judogi and accompanied by the master Angelo Calvisi.
Father Amedeo Salis celebrated the mass, and as the coffin emerged, many white balloons flew into the sky, all accompanied by the notes of the song “A modo tuo” by Elisa and Ligabue .
