Nuoro, brawl on Viale Repubblica: a man taken to police headquarters

Another episode of social decay occurred on Via Repubblica in the early afternoon, where an argument between a man and a woman escalated into a full-blown brawl involving two other people.

According to initial reports, a woman began cursing the man. Both, clearly agitated, then turned from verbal abuse to physical violence.

The woman was said to have gotten the worst of it, having insulted the man, receiving a blow to the face and suffering a black eye. At that point, two other people who were with the couple intervened, all clearly agitated, and the situation quickly escalated: a fight ensued, with blows being exchanged from both sides. The police, the Carabinieri, and an ambulance responded to the scene.

None of the victims, however, requested hospitalization. One man, who was particularly agitated, was taken to the police station, where his status is being assessed.
