Volotea strengthens its ties with Sardinia and reconfirms its investments in Olbia : the low-cost airline today confirmed the launch of 5 new routes departing from the Costa Smeralda for a total of 7 new international connections , and the expansion of its fleet which, during the summer period, will increase from 2 to 3 aircraft at the airport. The offer also includes the restoration of the flight to Bari and the confirmation of the connections between Olbia and Rome Fiumicino in a regime of territorial continuity and without any economic compensation , for the entire period envisaged by the tender of the Sardinia Region.

Volotea thus stands as the first company for the number of destinations reachable from Olbia and takes to the runway at the airport with an overall offer of around 1.2 million seats for sale.

Also announced, for the coming months, the launch of new connections from Olbia to Paris Charles de Gaulle (2 weekly frequencies, every Monday and Thursday starting from 29 May), Marseille (exclusive route available every Tuesday and Friday starting from 26 May), Toulouse (from 28 May, every Thursday and Sunday), Bilbao (exclusive route departing from 27 May, every Wednesday and Saturday) and Valencia (exclusive route, every Tuesday and Saturday departing from 27 May), which they add to the recently announced new flights to Madrid and Nice. An offer of 7 new routes, therefore, equal to 70,000 tickets on sale.

Thanks to the new flights, the total number of destinations reachable with the carrier from the Olbia airport rises to 28, 14 in Italy and 14 abroad.

In Olbia, bringing the fleet from 2 to 3 aircraft, Volotea also guarantees the creation of new employment opportunities for a total of 90 direct jobs, to which are added indirect ones.
