A private plane, bound for England, was landed this afternoon in emergency conditions at Olbia's “Costa Smeralda” airport.
From what we have learned, the commander of the aircraft, without passengers on board, communicated to the control tower that he had some hydraulic problems and immediately afterwards it was landed safely on the runway of the Gallura airport.
During the landing phase, however, the plane lost some liquids which spilled onto the runway. This led to the temporary closure of the airport to complete the cleaning and safety operations.
The incident resulted in delays in the arrivals of a Volotea flight from Turin and a Lufthansa flight from Munich.
Border Police agents led by manager Christian Puddu coordinated the cleaning operations, managed by the firefighters, and ensured safety and ensured the correct conduct of airport operations.
