The man who, since yesterday morning, had barricaded himself in his home on Via Agrigento, in the Zona Bandinu neighborhood of Olbia , threatening to commit an extreme act, has been arrested and handed over to the emergency services . The State Police's first responders arrived on the scene, successfully breaking into the apartment and safely restraining the man, thus preventing further harm.

The man was already undergoing treatment for mental health problems and in the preceding hours had repeatedly refused medical intervention and compulsory medical treatment, locking himself in his home and preventing anyone from approaching him.

Throughout the entire operation, the area was patrolled by firefighters from the Olbia detachment, who secured the area and maintained control of the affected stretch of road until the end of the operation.
