It was the summer of 2019 and today the investigating judge of the Tempio Court declared the non-place to proceed against Amofa Osas, 42 years old, Nigerian citizen, the man accused of having given heroin to Selene . The dispute is death as a result of another crime. The judge applied, one of the first sentences in Italy, the provisions contained in the reform of the criminal trial launched by the minister Marta Cartabia (Draghi government). The trial is not celebrated because Amofa Osas has never been traced, despite the searches in Olbia by the police.
The man disappeared into thin air . With the new provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure, it is avoided to hold a process that, in fact, cannot be celebrated. If by 2031 the man should be traced, the proceeding will be reopened. The sentence will be entered in the databases of the Ministry of the Interior and in international databases. The story, from the point of view of Selene Barbuscia's family, is certainly painful. Today's sentence comes after numerous requests and positions, including public ones, for those responsible for the woman's death to be identified and tried.
