Olbia, inaugurated the new direct air connection with Athens
The Aegean Airlines company lands at the Costa Smeralda: flights on Wednesdays and Sundays until 17 September

Inaugurated the first direct connection from Athens to Olbia of the Aegean Airlines company, part of Star Alliance and the largest Greek airline by number of passengers transported.
The company's Airbus 320 landed at Olbia Costa Smeralda airport at 18.55 yesterday , where it was welcomed by the Geasar staff, who presented the passengers with typical Sardinian sweets.
The connection with Athens, operated with A320 aircraft, is available on Wednesdays and Sundays until 17 September.
Thus, the number of new foreign markets connected directly with the Olbia airport rises to three, which for Summer 2023 sees its network expanded by inaugurating 15 new connections, of which 7 are absolute novelties, and welcoming three new airlines: Aegean Airlines, Aer Lingus and flydubai.
Overall, Olbia airport offers connections to and from 76 destinations, 55 of which are international and 21 domestic in 22 countries.
