Olbia Brothers Missing at Sea: Traces Found at Capo Figari, Non-Stop Search
Lorenzo and Giuseppe Deiana, 20 and 24, had gone out for a fishing trip yesterday morning: an impressive display of forces. Boots, a backpack and a fish net were found in the waterA backpack, some boots, a net for preserving caught fish: these would be the first traces of Giuseppe and Lorenzo Deiana, 24 and 20 years old , the two brothers from Olbia who have been missing since yesterday . There has been no news of them since 4:40 pm, when their phone connections disappeared: they had gone out for a fishing trip in the morning, aboard a small fiberglass boat.
Late in the evening, the partner of one of the two raised the alarm and the rescue operation was activated, coordinated by the Olbia coast guard, with helicopters and patrol boats that scoured the coast inch by inch.
Shortly before 12, boots and a backpack were spotted about 500 meters off Capo Figari . Other traces were found at Cala Spada, in Golfo Aranci.
The search radius also and above all passes through the area of Capo Figari. The hope is that the two boys have found shelter in a protected bay, but the apprehension grows as the hours pass.
