At the end of an operation called "Atlantide" and aimed at respecting the traceability of fish products, the soldiers of the Olbia maritime directorate carried out about 450 checks between restaurants and fishmongers, contesting 9 fines and raising 18 thousand euros in penalties.

In all, 150 kilos of fish and non-compliant fishing gear were seized.

Three criminal offenses have been detected for illegal fishing of a thousand urchins in the protected marine area of Porto Conte, commercial fraud, sale of frozen fish advertised as fresh or poor state of conservation of fish product otherwise destined for marketing.
