The first public nursery school in the entire Trexenta will be created in Senorbì . The municipal council has approved the technical and economic feasibility project for the construction of a new school building for children aged 0 to 2 years . The nursery will enrich the offer of childcare and education services of the Luigi Mezzacapo comprehensive institute, which already includes nursery, primary and lower secondary schools.

The overall amount of the intervention is one million and 125 euros : 826,200 to be financed with money from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Pnrr) and the remaining 298,800 euros from the municipal budget. «We aim to improve the training offer starting from the youngest members of our community», underlines the mayor Alessandro Pireddu . The objective is to support the needs of families in an era in which it is very difficult, especially for mothers, to easily combine family life with professional life.

Over the next few years, the project will see the construction of a modern and welcoming nursery school, the first public one in the town where two private ones already exist . It will be built a few meters away from the nursery school and the children's playground, in what is set to become an area dedicated to children's services. A new building will be built that guarantees at least 330 useful square meters of spaces dedicated exclusively to play, lunch and rest activities, toilets, classroom for educational and psychomotor activities, in addition to the reception spaces, services for staff and parents, always excluding the external courtyard.
