Two demonstrations and thousands of people in the square in Nuoro for the right to treatment and against the dismantling of public health. A snake a couple of kilometers long marched from piazza Sardegna to piazza Vittorio Emanuele, in what is the largest event that the city remembers in the last 20 years.

A desperate cry of pain for a right - that of health - denied in the Nuorese area and in the central area of Sardinia: in the front row Cgil, Cisl, Uil, local administrators, regional councilors, schools, associations of the sick.

The appeal was launched by the association of cancer patients "Vivere a Colori", for 25 days in a caravan in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele. "I thank everyone for the warm embrace that we are receiving in these days from all over Sardinia, but our rulers do not give us hope for the recovery of the collapsed departments of the San Francesco hospital and of territorial medicine", says Marilena Pintore of the association. "Here, if we do not resort to private services, we can no longer be treated, alternatively we have to travel hundreds of kilometers. But we will not stop until all the doctors who are missing, there are hundreds of them, are back in their place".

The square was filled with crowds from Nuorese, Ogliastra, Goceano, Medio Campidano and even Sulcis. "We are here to reclaim the health rights of the whole of Sardinia, we ask for a meeting with the Region, the social partners, the Sardinian communities for a shared health system reform. The reform was a flag of the Solinas junta but in three years Sardinian healthcare has been dismantled ", the words of the trade unions.

"Just blame the previous administrations by the Region, our bills to rethink health care lie in the Council unheard", said regional councilors Desirè Manca (M5S) and Daniele Cocco (Leu).

On the other side of the city, starting from Pratosardo, the popular committees marched up to San Francesco di Nuoro. A demonstration, the latter, devoid of political connotation: "We did not want political colors - said Pina Cui of the Sos Barbagia Mandrolisai committee -. For months we have been demonstrating and claiming our rights which in our area are non-existent. Before after two hours of rough roads we found the hospital of Nuoro to treat us, now they divert us to other hospitals because this one is collapsing. We will not stop here until the answers arrive ".
