The victim of the accident was a 76-year-old woman from Nuoro who began bleeding from her face. She was promptly treated by the 118 emergency crew and transported to the San Francesco emergency room in Nuoro with a yellow code for a facial head injury. Carabinieri officers were on the scene and documented the broken pavement. A week earlier, another pensioner had fallen on the pavement at the same spot on Via Catte, fracturing her femur.
