A gunshot, fired at eye level. Or as a woman, given that around 1.30 on New Year's Eve there was only Grazia Dessì, 90, and one of her daughters in the house.

The old woman was awake when a bullet fired from the street pierced the glass of the window and the shutter, and then ended up against the kitchen wall of her home in via delle Frasche, in Nuoro .

“My sister was there too. If she had been in that room at that moment, perhaps drinking a glass of water, the bullet would have hit her in full", says Rossella Deiana, the other daughter of the ninety-year-old.

Upon hearing the shot, the women tried to figure out what had happened. But they found nothing. Only the next day, on the ground, did they discover the ogive and the sign in the wall. Hints of a near tragedy.
