No water to drink on board: two hours late for the Rome-Alghero flight

Yet another disruption in air transport for Sardinia , in a key moment of the tourist season.

Flight AZ 1579 , which connects Rome to Alghero , should have left Fiumicino at 9:35 pm yesterday evening. On the other hand, the DC 9 of ITA Airways took off almost 2 hours late (11.25pm). Among the reasons, the one communicated on board by the captain to the passengers, already impatient for the accumulated delay. "We have problems with catering and there is no water to drink, we do not even have the minimum necessary quantities". Passengers, of course, even more astonished.

Fortunately, some cartons of water were found by the crew. After that the plane took off. But the inconveniences are not over. A few minutes after take-off, the steward announced that "no service would be guaranteed during the flight".

Among the passengers, after the umpteenth announcement, obviously the bad mood has spread even more, seasoned with some ironic jokes. The plane landed in Alghero after midnight .
