Gattari (and cats) of Su Pallosu have won the legal battle: no crime of invasion of land or soiling on the coast was committed the San Vero Milis . Andrea Atzori and his ex-partner Irina Albu ended up in the dock, having been denounced by some neighbors who never accepted the presence of the four-legged friends in the area and tried everything to remove them: today the acquittal was delivered by the judge monocrat Cristiana Argiolas of the Court of Oristano.

Thus ends a chapter of a long clash between cat lovers (Atzori maintains the cat colony on the sea which has also become a tourist attraction) and rivals in the area, with whom - according to the complaints - there was even a close physical clash.

«The complaint that led to the trial in the Court of Oristano for “invasion of land and soiling” of our entrance to the oasis and to the house», explains Atzori, «and I underline, the only possible entrance to the house from the public road, was as imaginative as without any foundation, the exclusive result of frustration, envy and jealousy. On that road, along which it was clumsily alleged that we had prevented access to third parties (charge of invasion/occupation), on the contrary, in reality over 55 thousand people have passed freely in total in 14 years to visit the Oasis".

Now the cat owner (and journalist), defended by the lawyers Giulia and Giuseppe Andreozzi, comments on the verdict as follows: «Our case demonstrates that being a cat owner with passion and commitment can be an activity considered "dangerous". I therefore dedicate this victory to all cats and all cat lovers. Both too often suffer everywhere, without reason and unfairly, intimidation and unpleasant episodes."
