Something is moving on the stadium, more and more. But that's not necessarily good news. Yesterday evening a call arrived in the offices of the Municipality of Cagliari, the same ones that in recent days have received the updated economic and financial plan of the work. Estimated cost, as is now known: 157.4 million euros (plus VAT) against an initial estimate of 70 (more and more VAT).

On the other phone was the Region. Better: the head of the offices that have to deal with managing the money that (possibly) will have to be paid from the public coffers in order to guarantee the financial balance of the expensive construction site.

In viale Trento (operative part) and at Villa Devoto (political part) they want to do the math well and view the new Pef. Because 50 of the 60 million that will have to be made available by public bodies are, or should be, paid for by the Region (the other 10 will be provided by the Municipality).

A much higher sum than agreed when talks of a partnership with the company began. So much so that the initial enthusiasm ("We will do our part", the regional council had said) gave way to the perplexities also expressed by the regional councilor for Tourism, Gianni Chessa, who from the columns of L'Unione Sarda said: "We must to evaluate".

No braking, for now. There was a request for cards. The Region, after having studied them, will have to decide whether to sit down at the table and watch the game. That without his bet of tens of millions he won't be able to go on.
