New protests in the Alto Oristano area on the healthcare front. It is once again the Committee for the Delogu Bene Comune – Raffaele Manca Hospital that raises the alarm: «The shortage of doctors in Territorial Specialized Medicine at the Ghilarza Clinic has become increasingly serious. In the last three years the following have left: the Endocrinologist, the Neurologist, and the Urologist. Figures who have never been replaced just as the hours dedicated to these professional figures have never been renewed. For Gynecology, the hours of the transferred Gynecologist were never rescheduled, nor was she ever replaced by a Gynecologist who uses the Ultrasound for diagnostics. There is therefore only one gynecologist left with a few hours available to cover the service. For the specialties of Ophthalmology, Physiatry and Orthopaedics, on the contrary, the hours have been banned".

Discontent also over the closure of the Ghilarza community hospital until 19 August. The Committee reiterates that «the Community Hospital is a territorial service, which, being the only one in Sardinia, extends its activity to the entire province of Oristano, and also to the other provinces of Sardinia». Then they add: «Doubt arises as to the appropriateness of using personnel from the Territorial Services to cover the duty shifts of a hospital department of the San Martino Medicine Operative Unit in Oristano. Specifically, we want to highlight that the medical staff of the Community Hospital were temporarily transferred from 26 July to 19 August".

And they conclude: «The Committee will ensure that for the summer period of 2025, non-penalizing solutions are adopted for the summer period of 2025 for the peripheral structures, which are already seriously suffering due to the lack of adequate public health services».
