Brotzu and Businco dismantled and reunited elsewhere, in the new "City Hospital" in Cagliari. A unique garrison for the Sulcis Iglesiente instead of the separate Sirai di Carbonia and Santa Barbara di Iglesias. Same scheme in Alghero: a single structure, to be built, which combines the Civil and the Marine. It is a pole «of excellence that incorporates the current beds» now distributed in various points of Sassari.

Here is the Region's plan for the reorganization of primary healthcare facilities in Sardinia: it is the repeatedly announced "resolution on new hospitals", approved last June 1 by the executive led by Christian Solinas and only made public in the last few hours. To propose it is the councilor Carlo Doria, for competence. A policy provision, defined as "urgent", aimed at the various territorial companies, which by August 1st (60 days after the approval of the resolution) will have to produce "a feasibility study that (...) provides for the socio-sanitary analysis- economic and real care needs that the newly built structures can satisfy", but also to the "indication of the optimal location" of the hospitals to be built "following the checks relating to any hydrogeological, landscape, urban and archaeological constraints of the areas potentially suitable» and «for verification of consistency with current health planning», as well as « for the analysis of the technical-economic sustainability of the intervention».

Ares will be called upon to prepare all subsequent tenders. Meanwhile, in these summer days he will have to work on the plan for Cagliari and that of Sulcis Iglesiente, the ASL of Sassari will have to deal with Alghero and the Aou Turritana is involved in planning for the capital of northern Sardinia.

The Department of Health, we read, evaluates "the urgency of starting the construction phase as soon as possible". The Region is in a hurry: it wants new hospitals for Sardinia.
