There are no misdirections or testimonies extracted in the investigation into the murders of Gianluca Monni, 18, from Orune, killed on the morning of May 8, 2015 in his town while waiting for the bus to go to school, and Stefano Masala, 27 , by Nule, disappeared into thin air the same year. This is the thesis of the Sassari prosecutor's office, accepted by the investigating judge who closed the file opened in 2020 against an investigator of the Arma (defended by the criminal lawyer Gianluigi Mastio) accused of corruption in judicial documents, aggravated slander and induction into false statements.

The investigations are those that led to the trials concluded with the convictions of Paolo Enrico Pinna (twenty years in prison) and Alberto Cubeddu (life imprisonment). In particular, Alberto Cubeddu (defended by lawyers Patrizio Rovelli and Mattia Doneddu) has always maintained that he was framed by a witness, in some way, according to the young man, piloted by the Carabinieri. A key witness in the trial celebrated in the Court of Assizes in Sassari. The induction into false statements, according to the content of a complaint, would concern the witness who changed his version, confirming a circumstance against Cubeddu. Thesis that, according to the prosecutor of Sassari, Giovanni Porcheddu, finds no evidence, hence the archiving of the file on the alleged misdirection that allegedly took place in Ozieri.
