Antonio Piu , regional councilor of Green Europe has asked for the urgent convening of the Environment commission in the regional council «to understand if the mud already poured into the body of water of Valledoria has dragged polluting materials with it. Furthermore – adds Piu – it would be advisable to understand whether all the environmental assessments have been made before proceeding with the lowering of the water level in the Muzzone reservoir to proceed with the work on the Diana bridge ».
A brown tide that is creating inconvenience and economic damage. The works on the Diana bridge lead to a lowering of the water level in the Muzzone reservoir, in the municipality of Oschiri, which led to spills at the mouth of Lake Coghinas, in Valledoria. In fact, since the first days of June 2022, the bridge on the road to Oschiri had been closed to traffic after some technical inspections had highlighted a deterioration in the conservation and functionality conditions of the structure.
