Salvatore Pinna, known by all as Tiu Foriccu, blows out 100 candles in Mores .

The family last night for the event wanted to do things big, organizing a beautiful ceremony in via Mannu, right in front of the home of the birthday boy.

Many citizens who wanted to participate.

Tiu Foriccu, widower and with 3 children (another died many years ago), has always been a farmer and has therefore spent all his life in the countryside.

The municipal administration of Mores gave him a souvenir parchment, directly from the hands of the mayor Enrico Virdis .

"For the community it was a very important event," explains the mayor.

“Tiu Foriccu is still very lucid and perfectly remembers circumstances and episodes of every era . Three centenarians now live in Mores. But there are three other fellow citizens who have reached this milestone: 2 live in Piedmont, another in Rome. So there are 6 in all, in a town of 1900 inhabitants . Mores - he concludes - has long been included in the Blue zone, an American study on the causes of longevity ".
